Prof. Suzanne Babich
Chair
Sue is the Associate Dean of Global Health and Acting Chair of the Department of Global Health at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health, Indiana University. She holds a DrPH from the University of North Carolina and has held various academic positions, including visiting roles in Europe and Asia. Professor Babich’s expertise spans global health workforce development, health policy, and health systems strengthening. She is a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in Croatia and has published widely on topics such as health leadership, policy, and nutrition. Her awards include multiple teaching honours from UNC Gillings School of Public Health.
Prof. Colleen Fisher
Vice Chair
Colleen is the immediate former Head of the School of Population and Global Health at UWA. She specialises in qualitative and mixed methods research, which she also teaches across all levels. Her teaching includes units such as Health Leadership, Health Leadership and Management, and Qualitative Research Methods in Health. Professor Fisher’s research focuses on family and domestic violence across the lifespan, cultures, and refugee contexts. She has led multidisciplinary international projects and evaluations of support services. She has served on several government panels in Western Australia and is a Past President of CAPHIA (Council of Academic Public Health Institutions Australasia (CAPHIA) and former Chair of its National Executive Committee.
Prof. Friday Okonofua
Friday is an obstetrician and gynaecologist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Benin, Nigeria. He is the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Ondo State University of Medical Sciences and founder of Women Health and Action Research Centre, a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Benin City, that focuses on promoting female reproductive research. He holds a medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and a PhD in International Health from Karolinska Institute, Sweden. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Postgraduate College in Obstetrics and Gynaeology, the West African College of Surgeons, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, UK, the Takemi program in International Health at Harvard University, the Nigerian Academy of Science, the African Academy of Sciences, and the United States National Academy of Medicine (NAM). A global leader in women’s health, he has published over 380
journal articles.

Tanushree Kochar
Tanushree is a Master of Public Health (Health Research) student at University of Nottingham from India. She earned her BSc in Cell and Molecular Biology through the dual degree programme at Duke Kunshan University, China and Duke University, USA. Her interests lie in health policy, service delivery, and health science communication. She is currently hosting the Glocal(isation) Health Seminar Series at University of Nottingham, highlighting the work of changemakers in the health space around the world that conveys the complex interplay of global and local action in important population health challenges.
Tom Kuiper
Tom is a Senior Policy Advisor on accreditation and quality assurance at Maastricht University’s Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. With a MSc in Public Health, he has extensive experience in curriculum development and educational governance. He co-developed multiple innovative programmes, including the BSc and MSc European Public Health and the MSc in Health and Digital Technology. Tom has led numerous international projects and accreditation processes and has advised on the creation of Double-Degree programmes with universities across Europe. He was also a co-founder of APHEA and has contributed to several international accreditation panels.
